| For the park's 25th Anniversary in 2017, the trains were replaced with new style Vekoma trains. |
| "De la terre à la lune" is French for "from the Earth to the Moon". |
| At the end of 2027, Space Mountain will close for a major refurbishment and retheming project. The attraction will return to the classic Jules Verne-inspired theme featured when it originally opened in 1995. In addition to technical improvements, the renovation will include a complete overhaul of the ride area, queue, and the iconic launch cannon. The original score by Steve Bramson will be remastered and once again serve as the attraction's soundtrack. | |

| For Space Mountain's 10th anniversary in 2005, it was renovated featuring a new story, new effects and a new soundtrack. The trains were redone in metallic silver. The overall Verne/Orwell theme in Discoveryland along with the Canon Columbiad Space Mountain building stayed the same. The name changed to Space Mountain: Mission 2. | |
