Costo: The park was built at a cost of 720 million French Francs (1989 figure).
Tematizzazione: "Schtroumpf" is French for "Smurf".  This was the park's theme until the 2003 season.
Timeline: Purchased by the Walibi group.
Premier Parks purchased the park along with the entire Walibi group. At the time Premier Parks also owned Six Flags Corporation. In 2000 the Premier Parks name was dropped in favor of the more popular Six Flags brand name.
In early 2004, Six Flags sold their European parks (excluding their small portion of Warner Bros. Movie World in Madrid, Spain) to Palamon Capitol Partners who operated under the Star Parks Europe name.
Claude and Didier Le Douarain, two French brothers from the traveling fun fair circuit purchase the park.
The park opens under French ownership with a Smurf theme on the former grounds of the Sacilor metallurgic factories.  The park was managed by the Sorépark company with Pierre Julien, a former manager of Sacilor, as the general manager.
