| Facts: | On 7/24/1930 a train derailed on the lift hill and fell to the ground. Awards in the ensuing court cases exceeded the assets by a large factor (approximately $128,000 versus $35,000), but that presumably reflected ownership of the ride by a corporate entity that shielded the park as a whole from liability. An ordinance banning roller coasters was created as a result of the accident. |
