Dupla - a roller coaster with two tracks. The tracks often follow a similar course, allowing the trains to race with each other.

Família - a small roller coaster designed for young riders, but adults may comfortably ride also.

Fechada - a roller coaster built inside a structure intended solely for the ride. This structure often imparts a theme or houses special effects.

Design

4ª Dimensão - a coaster with cars that spin on a horizontal axis.

Bobsled - designed like a bobsled run -- without a fixed track. The train travels freely through a trough.

De Pé - a coaster ridden while standing up instead of sitting down.

Invertida - a roller coaster which uses trains traveling beneath, rather than on top of, the track. Unlike a suspended roller coaster, an inverted roller coaster's trains are rigidly attached to the track.

Pipeline - a coaster where riders are positioned between the rails instead of above or below.

Sentada - a traditional roller coaster ridden while sitting down.

Suspensa - a roller coaster using trains which travel beneath the track and pivot on a swinging arm from side to side, exaggerating the track's banks and turns.

Voadora - a roller coaster ridden while parallel with the track.

Terminologia de Dados Estatísticos

Aceleração -

Altura - a maior altura da estrutura medida a partir do chão até o nível dos trilhos. Corrimões, mastros de bandeiras e afins não contam na altura da montanha russa.

Ângulo De Descida - O ângulo mais inclinado experimentado na atração na direção da viagem. Isso não inclui a inclinação lateral do trilho nem o ângulo da rampa.

Capacidade - the highest number of riders per hour a roller coaster is capable of assuming the ride is using all of its trains.

Extensão - o curso físico da montanha russa medido como se existisse uma linha entre os trilhos. Trilhos de transferência não estão incluídos nesta contagem.

Força G - the greatest gravitational force experienced during the ride.

Inversões - o número físico de inversões numa montanha russa. Esse será metade do número de inversões numa montanha russa reversa com inversões. Para contar como inversão o elemento deve virar os passageiros totalmente 180º de cabeça para baixo.

Queda - a maior queda contínua experimentada na montanha russa.

Tipo

Aço - a roller coaster with track consisting of steel tubes or rails. Occasionally steel roller coasters will use wood structures to support the steel track, this does not have an affect on its steel status.

Madeira - a roller coaster with track consisting of layers of wood. Occasionally wooden roller coasters will use steel structures to support the wooden track, this does not have an affect on its wooden status.
