History:	The park was started by Billy Butlin. This park became one of the Butlin's Parks that were purchased by the Rank Organization. In 1977 the park was bought from Rank by the Smart family of the "Billy Smart's Circus" and re-named Smart's Amusement Park. In 1995 the park started a conversion into a "Harbour Village and Amusement Park". Phase 3 of this work completed in 2000. The roller coasters were removed during this time.
