2002:			In the spring, Six Flags was appointed the interim manager of Jazzland by the bankruptcy court handling the troubled park. Later that summer, Six Flags won the bid to purchase the park and it became the 16th member of the Six Flags family.
7/9/2004:			Lake Forest Blvd. between Interstate 510 and Michoud Blvd. was renamed Six Flags Parkway in honor of the park.
