During the course of the photo contest there have been a few people who were interested in entering the contest but not interested in joining the forum. This discouraged many from entering the contest due to the fact that we required everyone to upload their photo to the gallery in order to enter the contest. And the only way to upload photos to the gallery was by becoming a forum member. Well, in an effort to allow more people the opportunity to participate in our contest these last 2 weeks we will be taken submissions through email.

If you have a photo you want to submit to the contest just email it to photocontest2008@lagoonisfun.com and include the following pieces of information:

• Your name.
• Your email address.
• Date the photo was taken - keep in mind we only allow photos that were taken from June 1st - August 31st.
• The category you want to place your photo in. There are 5: Lagoon in Motion, Lagoon in Reflection, Lagoon Up Close, On the Park After Dark, and What Was Lagoon Thinking.

When we receive your photo we will submit it to the photo gallery and place it into the contest for you. Should you win you will be contacted via the email address you supplied with the photo.

Hopefully this helps those of you wanting to participate in the contest without having to join the forum. We look forward to any remaining photos that may come in. Remember you have until 11:59pm August 31st to get your photos to us for the contest.

Only three weeks remain of the Lagoon Is Fun Summer Photo Contest!  Last call is going out to all Lagoon photographers to get your photos in within the next 21 days!  Currently we are lacking photos in a couple of categories.  Lagoon in Reflection and What Was Lagoon Thinking categories only have 1 photo each.  That means if no one else submits photos to these categories that we already have 2 winners in our contest.  Do you really want to let these people have a free win because you didn't submit a photo? 

All our entries so far have been great and we would like to see a few more new faces join into the contest before it ends!  So if you haven't submitted a photo yet consider doing it into those categories so the contest judges actually have to work.  If you have taken a photo but you don't know how to upload it to the gallery to submit it or you have had issues uploading it please contact us and let us know!  You can send photo contest questions to photocontest2008@lagoonisfun.com and we will help you out in getting your photo into our contest.

With the summer moving right into August this means the Lagoon Is Fun Photo Contest has moved into it's third and final month for photo contest pictures.  Currently we only have 23 entries for the entire summer.  I thought we'd have a lot more by now.  That's good news to those who have entered considering we will be choosing one photo from each category and giving them a prize with the chance to win the grand prize!

Remember entries will be accepted until the end of this month!  If you haven't entered yet then what are you waiting for?  Don't miss out on this chance!
