| Notes: | There is a bit of a mystery on the origin of Indiana Beach's Tig'rr Coaster. It is often said it came from Pontchartrain Beach. In one case Tom Spackman (Indiana Beach owner) has said he helped move it from Pontchartrain Beach to Indiana Beach. Tom Spackman Jr. confirms this story and adds that they also acquired their Arrow Log Flume from Pontchartrain Beach.
At the same time Pontchartrain Beach regulars say this roller coaster was never at Pontchartrain Beach and go as far to bet their lives on it.
A couple of theories could satisfy both these stories. Theory one is Pontchartrain Beach had this Jet Star roller coaster in storage and it never operated at the park. Another theory is if Pontchartrain Beach's rides were sold at auction, the Jet Star was a consignment and not part of Pontchartrain Beach's inventory. |
